THE GOLDEN CATERPILLAR
Once upon a time there was a poor man with three children. The man was so poor that sometimes he didn't even find some bread to eat. One day he was walking on the way of his home when he saw a golden caterpillar. He was so surprised that he didn't know what to do first. Than he took the caterpillar and ran towards his house. As he got home he gathered his children around and began to think about what to do. Later they decided to bury and hide it. First they looked for a suitable place to bury the caterpillar. Than they dig a deep hole on the ground and buried it. As they were busy with doing this an owl which was not an ordinary bird was watchhing them on a tree. It was wearing special glasses. With the help of them the owl was able to see eveything underground. Therefore it saw the caterpillar, too. When the men finished digging; the owl hit them into the hole, took the caterpillar out and closed the hole with a huge rock.

Story 1
Once upon a time a lumberjack went into the wood. He looks at the trees and said:”Mmmmm, I want to get rid of the wood. First I’ll have to make a plan, I’d love to make a farm instead of the wood.”
He chopped down all the trees and he made a meadow.
All at once he saw a cow in his meadow. He said to himself: “I would love to taste cow!”
He first milked the cow and afterwards hung it up. The oven was already very hot. He cut the cow into pieces and baked the meat in the oven.
All at once the real owner of the cow came into the meadow. She saw her dead cow in the oven. She became very angry and killed the gnome.
Story 2
Once upon a time a gnome with long hair discovered a strange animal he had never seen before, a kind of caterpillar.
The caterpillar said: “I’m not a normal caterpillar, but a magic one.”
The gnome answered: ”I think I might keep you as a pet.” He ran off to his house to fetch some food. On his way, he ran so fast he accidentally let go of the caterpillar.
He only saw it when he got home, he had just made a cage ready.
He went in search for all his friends to look for the magic caterpillar. He did everything to find it, he made big holes, they were real investigators. Finally, he looked into a big hole.
‘Maybe the owl has eaten him, I’ll ask him. It’s a pity the tree is so high, I’ll ask him from down here.”
But the owl didn’t know anything. Just to be sure, the gnome had a look in the hole of the owl. And what did he find there? Lots of glasses.
In a corner he found his lovely caterpillar and he took his magic caterpillar home.

The elf Plin helped
Santa Claus to hand out gifts at Christmas.
While he was going
back home, he met a caterpillar and asked him what he wanted for
Christmas.
The caterpillar said he wanted a hole to shelter from
snow.
The elf went to a barber and let him dye his beard white to look
more like Santa Claus.
Going back home he met the other elves and asked
them to dig a hole for his friend, the caterpillar.
He went where Santa
Claus kept all the gifts and brought a lot of colored glasses for the owl that
lived near him.
In fact the animal couldn’t stand the sun lights
beating on his tree.
When the owl saw all those glasses was very happy
and thanked the elf.
The caterpillar too thanked the elf for the hole
where he could spend the winter snug and protected.
The happy elf went
back to his friends to continue to dish out happiness with his gifts.

The lumberjack
Once lived a lumberjack. This lumberjack went out into the forest on a beautiful day. He looked at the beautiful forest and gave a thought to it, how he should save the trees. He went home and thought about. As he deliberated like this, the devil appeared.
- I see, you hurt something. - said the devil.
- You cannot help my trouble.
- What's the problem?
- I do not want to cut the trees in the forest, because it protects the animals and provides food as well. For the people calmness and fresh air.
- Well, I can help you easily.
- How can you help?
- You'll see! I ask only one. Give me your smallest son!
The lumberjack was thinking about it. He knew that his son is smart, brave lad, trusted him.
- All right! - said the lumberjack.
He told the story to his son.
- Don’t be afraid, Dad. I will be able to deal with the devil!
The next morning the boy knit a cow to the chimney, that lure thither the devil to the chimney. The lad lit a fire in the furnace and with the priest sanctified the fire. The devil suddenly walked in the door.
- Well, I see, you called me with the cow and the fire.
- I called you, verily, devil!
- Now you come with me to the hell and there you will be my faithful servant!
- I certainly don’t go there! I will not be your servant!
The boy snatched up the axe and flung it at it with strength that it is the devil, fell into the consecrated fire. The consecrated fire concealed the devil forever.
The lumberjack and his son since lived happily ever after protecting the forest and the animals.
